My curiosity and love for the human experience started very young. Growing up in a family of 6, relationship dynamics were surely at play. I remember at a really young age trying to understand why each of us did the things we did and said the things we said. I believed the closer I got to that understanding, the more likely the problematic patterns could be adjusted. This curiosity still is a driving force for my work today.
I come to you with formal training but also true lived experiences that really impact the work I do. I lean on my experience and let my training shape our sessions. My own journey has helped me find hope and meaning from both challenging and joyful moments in life. I hope to create a relationship with clients where insight, self-discovery, and growth take place. Digging as some may say can be exhausting. But what if that digging unearths a treasure?
I live in Portland, Oregon with my husband, 2 kids, and our silly dog. Outside of therapy you may see me hiking in the summer and skiing in the winter. I devour a good book and a warm cup of coffee. I love to move my body while listening to loud music (or let's be honest, a good podcast) and activating a good sweat. I see one of the greatest pleasures in life is the simple act of sharing a beautiful meal with the ones I hold dear.
