My desire to hear and learn others' stories is at the core of what drew me to becoming a therapist. All our stories are rich and nuanced in their own way. Each chapter and setting have made a profound impact on who we are today and the patterns we have learned that shape our current relationships. Sometimes our families' history and life experiences trickle into our life and create havoc on our own dreams, goals, and behaviors. I hope to bring care and compassion into our partnership and together we can discover insights into old patterns, so that you can fully embrace your own guiding light you have within yourself.
This practice will require participation from both you and me. My intent is always to meet you with an open mind and a gentle heart; however, I believe that therapy is at times about accountability, too. Most importantly, I want my clients to have a place to land where, for just a small portion of their week, they feel seen and accepted for who they are and what they want to become.
My work is informed by IFS, Attachment theory, EFT, and Relational Life Therapy created by Terry Real. I particularly like working with individuals and couples that come into therapy with childhood trauma that may still be impacting their current relationships. I believe that finding health in our relationships with ourselves and our loved ones will create health in all areas of life.
